#1025 Polymers Process Optimization Engineer
Requires Ch E degree & 5 - 15 years hands-on process design or operations experience related to chemicals. Knowledge of polymers & adhesives is a plus. Requires excellent English presentation skills & the ability to work with outside contractors & multi-discipline teams around the globe to solve problems & improve the performance of specialty polymers plants through the application of sound engineering principles. Must understand economic analysis & market issues as they relate to use, acquisition & development of technology. Will manage small capital projects from time to time. Should have knowledge of process simulation & other industrial technology tools & methods. Will create & disseminate new process technology throughout the company's world wide network of specialty polymer plants & manage intellectual property obligations. Will make proactive recommendations for improving unit yields, quality, energy consumption, process safety, APC & optimization of overall polymers manufacturing technology. Will support new product development & plant implementation. Will mentor the next generation of technical professionals. Domestic & international travel of 15% required. Must be U. S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status. Large international operating company with position in plant process technology group in Baton Rouge, LA.
